faq
May 15th, 2007
Everyone else has one of these new fangled faq thingies…why can’t we? Well, for one thing, nobody has ever asked us anything, so if this were truly “frequently asked questions”, the page would look a little like g-dub’s face when someone asks him about market globalization.
So, we’re going to ask ourselves some questions, um, frequently, and post them here with our incredibly exciting and informative answers! Oh, and if you have a question so that we can make this baby legit, hit us up here.
Why are you blogging about this (productivity/lifehacks/etc..) when there are so many other better sites doing the same thing?
The answer to this is simple. Because we can.
Check out our blogroll, and you’ll find several sites in the same vein as our newbie little guy here. Go ahead. Check ‘em out. In fact, you should do so regularly. We do. The point is, everyone (including yourself, Inquisitive One) is going to have something that appeals to them about this blog or the other and maybe, just maybe our style and/or content will appeal to you as much or more as the others.
Oh, and we’re narcissists who think our opinions are awesome. Not really. Next question!
Why do you have ads and ask for donations? Are you trying to get rich?
Who isn’t? But no, we’re not getting rich off of this site. We all have real jobs and real, non-virtual lives and in real non-virtual life, those ads and affiliate links and tips add up to little more than a movie every once in while. And that’s a good thing, because we review those movies here.
The money goes to pay for us to watch those movies to review (yes, yes, we have fun while we’re there…is that so bad?), buy software and hardware, pay hosting fees, buy books for review, and so on and so forth. There are some small costs that we gladly fork over associated with blogging, and your support helps defray those costs. Plus, it feels awesome to give! See how that works?
By the way, 10% of all revenue goes to The ONE Campaign. Give $10, and one of those greenbacks goes to Bono and company to help put an end to poverty and aids.
